Make the choice. Take the pledge on June 15.
Every woman has a story. Every man has a choice.
Eight years ago, Southwest Pa Says No More started a tradition: business and community members pledged to do their part to end domestic violence and sexual assault.
That important work continues. Domestic violence and sexual assault and harassment affect as many as 1 in 3 women; abuse increased during Covid-19. This means that today in our neighborhoods, communities, and workplaces, people are experiencing abuse. It is on all of us to prevent these crimes from happening in the first place.
The Father’s Day Pledge is an invitation to men to join others in speaking out and getting involved in ending domestic and sexual violence. As role models, it makes a difference when men talk to our sons and daughters about healthy relationships, confront other men about disrespectful behavior, and make it safe for victims to get help.
Most men believe they have an important role to play in ending violence against women and girls, but it can be difficult to express support or know what to do.
For Father’s Day Pledge 2021, we are presenting Dear Men, a powerful new video series about how simple actions can make a difference.
Please join us on June 15 on Zoom, and say “No More” to domestic violence and sexual assault.
